About The Studio

Vagabond Dog is an independent game studio founded in Toronto in 2012. Best known for narrative RPGs that explore moral ambiguity and the messy reality of human choices — games where your decisions matter and consequences follow.

Along with talented project artists, this two-man team has shipped multiple games that punch far above their weight, experienced the highs of industry, and outlasted every indiepocalypse to date (like a pair of undying cockroaches).

Justin Amirkhani

Justin Amirkhani (keadin)

Creative Director & Co-Founder

A chaotic force unlike any other who began as a hitchhiking nomad-journalist, and has since toured the world meeting game developers, penning complex branched narratives, and leaving subtle but lasting impacts on memorable games, big and small.

Beyond his work with the studio, he has explored virtual reality performance art, storytelling in the creative commons, and built private systems for digital anonymity for persona based communities. He is a font of ideas, and relentlessly independent.

Jake Reardon

Jake Reardon (jakenbear)

Lead Programmer & Co-Founder

A sensible, stable-minded developer who writes and fixes code that works, without which narrative ambitions could never turn into playable realities. He stays grounded and aware of the complex technical hurdles which must be overcome to make great games.

Outside of the studio, he has worked as a developer for some of the world's largest tech companies, while still finding time to play a mean game of hockey, and care for a small army of loyal attack dogs. He is reasonable, dependable, and pragmatic to the core.
